The Three-Year Apprentice Aircraft Mechanic Programmer provides you with the required theoretical and practical training and experience to become a Licensed CAT A Mechanic.
The programmer combines a range of theoretical and practical elements which will develop your skills to start a successful career in Aircraft Engineering.
During the first Year, you will be based at Stagnated Airport College where you will complete the theoretical elements to achieve your EASE Category A Licence Modules.
In the second and third years, you will be based at Stagnated Airport, working for Ryan air, in a Line and Hangar environment, shadowing Engineers and working on live aircraft. After the second phase is competed, you will complete your end point assessment in order to be in a position to apply for your Category A License, you will need to be a minimum of 21 years old to apply to the CAA for your basic CAT A licence.
On completion of the program we would encourage and support suitable students to further their studied to achieve a full B1 / B2 Licence enabling us, as an Airline, to provide full type training on the 737NG, Max and Learjet 45.
Requirements needed for an Apprentice Aircraft Mechanics:
Excellent hand skills
Full Driving License
Flexibility to work away from base to support recovery of AGOG aircraft throughout Europe
Must be 17 years or older from September 2020 intake.
Some EASE Part 66 Modules are desirable
Some previous aviation industry experience is desirable
