Project Manager for SASETA Learnerships

Duties & Responsibilities

The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

·    Assisting the Skills Development facilitator (SDF) to implement knowledge management processes to undertake skills gap analysis, define training needs and development skills plans;
·    Manage mandatory and regulatory training such as health and safety training;
·    Manage administration for internal and external training;
·    Develop and maintain a detailed project plan;
·    Manage project deliverables in line with project plan;
·    Assist with the implementation of appropriate leanerships and skills programmes;
·    Maintain an accurate database on all training which has taken place and service providers used;
·    Keep learning records in line with quality management framework;
·    Maintain supplier information and keep records in line with Company’s standards;
·    Maintain employee records including personnel files and learning history;
·    Scheduling and co-ordination of training classes including the maintaining of a training calendar;
·    Liaise with SASSETA on the following:
–    Submission of SPO1 – learner registration;
–    Submission of SPO2 – learner certification;
–    Follow up on certification of learners;
–    Maintain record of database of instructors/facilitators/assessors/moderators/organisation at
–    SASSETA – ensure total company compliance by ensuring active registration status;
–    Submit and follow up on extension of scope of instructors / facilitators / assessors / moderators / organisation at SASSETA. 

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Strictly EE
    Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
    Formal qualification, knowledge and experience of Project Administration will be advantageous;
    Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Project Administrator – Skills Development is essential;
    Extensive knowledge/experience on all MS Office applications including MS Projects, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
    Knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislations;
    Own vehicle, driver’s license and valid PDP;
    A basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics will be advantageous;
    Must be prepared to travel extensively as and when required;
    Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;
