| Position The general workers main responsibility is the cleaning of the facility and to assist with maintaining all aspects of safety, hygiene and housekeeping rules and standards. Reporting to: Production Supervisor Responsibilities (including but not limited to) Reporting of all defects, breakdowns, deviations from procedure to the production supervisor Cleaning of all work areas and equipment Assist with the loading and off-loading of products, spares, material etc. Assist with the cleaning of spillages Is responsible for the cleaning of all pits Assist maintenance staff with maintenance Assist with breakdown repairs Assist with the operation of the plant Stand in for any general worker that is absent and or on leave Inspect and lubricate front end loader and complete the relevant recording sheet and handing it over the relevant production supervisor Clean and unblock silo’s Taking of samples and do moisture test to ensure product quality and report the results in writing to the production supervisor Operate the weighbridge for incoming and outgoing loads It may be required from to perform other work for which you are either qualified or capable of doing within the company from time to time Must be capable and willing and able to work overtime when required |
