Grade 12 or equivalent qualification plus a Microsoft Office Certificate with typing as a passed subject. 1 – 2 years’ relevant experience in data capturing. Typing speed of 60 words per minute with accuracy. Competencies and skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; Good interpersonal skills, Attention to detail, accuracy.
Prepare source documents by compiling and sorting information according to specific instructions provided. Verify accuracy of data from designated sources before entering it into the system. Classify all records on the system in terms of record classification and retention guidelines. Accurately capture detailed indexes of documents and records onto the system. Check all completed work for accuracy. Report any exceptions or queries to the Supervisor. Locate and correct any visible data errors by confirming its integrity with supervisors. Sort and organize documents after entering data to ensure safe keeping. Assists in maintaining good housekeeping of the Data Capturing area.
