SCM Clerk Database and Purchase Order Administration at South African Forestry Company (Safcol) job in Menlyn, Gauteng

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform any filling of documents within the Purchasing Management Section
  • Keeping purchase order documents and ensure availability for audit purposes
  • Completion of supplier credit application forms and ensure sign off by the duly authorized official
  • Co-ordinate the completion and sign-off for capex request forms
  • Verification of Supplier Information prior to capturing
  • Capturing and on boarding of Employee Vendor Information ( EVI)
  • Capturing and on-boarding of New Vendor Information
  • Update vendor banking details on the system
  • Allocate vendor numbers
  • Update vendor tax and B-BBEE details on the system
  • Receive supplier database forms and capture data into the system
  • Ensure that all supplier information is captured, namely contact, tax, B-BBEE details etc.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure that the agreements are honored and address any Q&A’s (e.g. late deliveries, bad styles, etc.)
  • Capture and generate all purchase orders
  • Receive and check the entire purchase order documents
  • Verify against purchase requisition and received quotations
  • Liaise with service providers and end-users in relation to Purchase Orders
  • Print and distribute purchase order copies
  • Follow-up on CAPEX Requests
  • Check goods received against purchase order and complete goods received voucher
  • Follow-up on outstanding purchase order reports
  • Print batch reports for orders input
  • Place orders with suppliers
  • Distribute copies of purchase orders to various business units

Requirement

  • Matric Certificate or Equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
  • Purchasing Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related qualifications NQF Level 5 – will be an added advantage
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain / Procurement or Financial Administration
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Required to work additional hours, as and when required
